Singapore's publishers work in global languages: English, Chinese, Malay and Tamil. Our market is wide open to the world (in fact, tilted in favour of importers). I started in publishing here in 1987, and have been involved with the Singapore Book Publishers Association since 2014. Some thoughts from along the way.
